| TYPE OF VISAS FOR ENTRANCE OF FOREIGNERS Diplomatic visa It is granted by the Diplomatic and consular Angolan Missions, authorized for foreigners with diplomatic passports. This visa should be used in the period of 60 days, subsequent to the date of its concession; it allows the permanence up to 30 days and is valid for one to two entrances. Article 20th of the law nr. 3/94 of 21 January. Official visa it is granted by the Diplomatic and Consular Angolan Missions, authorized for foreigners carrying a business passport. This visa should be used in the period of 60 days, subsequent to the date of its concession. It allows up to 30 days stay and it is valid for one to two entrances. Artcle 20.º of the law nr. 3/94 of 21 January. Consular Visa the consular visas are issued by the Angolan consulates or by the border authorities. Transit Visa This is granted by the Angolan consulates to foreigners who are in transit in Angola and don’t intend to remain in national territory. It has validity of 5 days, postponable for equal period of time and valid for one entrance only. Art. 22.º of the law nr. 3/94, of 21 January. Short Term Visa It is granted by the Angolan Immigration Authorities for foreigners who intend to stay in Angola for a short period of time. Article 23rd, of the Law nr 3/94, of 21 of January. To request such a visa, one should provide the following documents: - Place of stay while in Angola; - A photocopy of the passport including the page of all the personal details; - Two photo ID; - CV; - Her/His graduates, Certificate, or any other equivalent document. Ordinary Visa It is granted to foreigners by the Angolan consulates for those who are entering Angola as visitors. Article 24th of the Law nr. 3/94, of 21 of January. To request such a visa, one should provide the following documents: - Two photo IDs; - Valid passport; - Invitation letter; - Bank statement; - Photocopy of the ticket/itinerary. Work Visa It is granted to foreigners who intend to work professionally in Angola for a private or public firm. Article 25th, 26th and 27th of the Law nr. 3/94, of 21 of January. To request such a visa, one should provide the following documents: - A photocopy of the passport, which is not expiring within six months of the application date; - Employment contract; - Letter requesting the visa properly stamped by the appropriate ministry; - Two recent photographs; - Curriculum Vitae; - Declaration stating that he/she commits to respect the Angolan laws; - Criminal record; - Other certificates. Visa for Permanent Residency It is granted to foreigners who intend to live permanently in the Angolan territory. Article 28th of the Law nr 3/94, of 21 of January. - To request such a visa, one should provide the following documents: - A letter requesting the visa and specifying the reasons for the intention of permanent residency in Angola. - Photocopy of the passport, which is not expiring within 6 months of the application date; - Declaration that commits to respect the laws of the republic of Angola; - Diploma; - Criminal registration; - Three photo IDs; - Proof of family affiliation if any family member are included on the request; - Proof of income and residency in Angola. ACTS OF FOREIGNERS OF LOCAL CONCESSION Request for temporary exit visa It should be used in period of 60 days and it only gives right to one exit. Request for multiple exit visa This can be 3, 6 or 12 months and it gives right for the foreign citizen exit Angola multiple times. Request for an exit visa It should be used in a period of 5 to 15 days and it only gives right to one exit. To request such a visa, one should provide the following documents: - Statement from employer confirming work relationship; - Photocopy of the work visa; - Term of the parents’ responsibility or tutors (for the children); - Two photo IDs. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION FOR EXTENSION OF SHORT TERM VISA It is granted whenever the ordinary visa to result insufficient and it has a period of validity of 30 days and it is extended by equal period of time in a single time. To request such a visa, one should provide the following documents: - Two photo ID; - A photocopy of the valid passport; - Passport must be valid for six months or more; - Term of responsibility or a letter of somebody that takes the responsibility for his/her permanence in the Angolan territory; - Boarding card properly filled out and signed. Request for extension of the work visa To request such a visa, one should provide the following documents: - Photocopy of the passport of the page with the biographical data; - Photocopy of the work visa; - Statement from the employer confirming the employee works for the said company; - Updated labour agreement or contract; - Two photos;ID - Form properly filled out. Request for work visas Documentation for the authorization request: - The title-holders of the work visa application (recognized by the Notary); - Photocopy of the pages of the passport in that consist the biographical data and the work visa; - Documents that prove the relationship degree authenticated photocopy) former, birth certificate or marriage recognized by the state department of the Republic of Angola; - Two photo ID; - Statement from employer confirming employment; - Copy of the passport; - Photocopy of the title-holders labour agreement or contract; - Letter of request properly stamped by the respective ministry; - Passport with validation of six months or more. Extention request To request such a visa, one should provide the following documents: - Photocopy of the title-holders of the work visa passport (updated); - Photocopy of the passport of the petitioner with 6 months validity or more; - Photocopy of the existing work visa; - Two photos ID; - The title-holders work visa application form (authenticated by the Notary); - Letter from the employer properly stamped by the respective Ministry; - Form properly filled out and signed; Request for residence authorization It follows the same requirements as the residency visa. For such, three types of residence authorization exist. Article 41st of the law nr 3/94, of 21 January. Request of authorization of temporary residence It is valid for a period of one year only. Article 42nd of the law nr. 3/94, of January 21. Request of authorization for permanent residency-type A It is granted to foreigners who have been resident in Angola for five consecutive years. Article 43rd of the law nr. 3/94, of January 21. Request of Authorization of Residence Permanent-type B It is granted to foreigners who have lived in Angola for 15 consecutive years or more. Article 44th of the law nr. 3/94, of January 21. To request such a visa, one should provide the following documents: - Three recent photo ID; - Diploma; - Residence certificate; - Work contract; - Commitment term; - Consular registration card; - Criminal registration; - Taxpayers card; - Form properly filled out and signed. Request for the extension of the residency authorization To request such a visa, one should provide the following documents: - One recent ID photo; - Original card; - Form properly filled out; |
